9 months!!

Yesterday Sophia turned 9 months old. I cannot believe how fast the time is going. Sophia has grown and changed so much in the last 9 months!! In the past month alone Sophia has gone from a baby that really didn't move around at all to a mover and a shaker! She is now crawling and standing up in her crib (she is particularly proud of the latter). She can show me where Daddy is when I ask her to but much to my chagrin has no idea who or where this Mommy person is. Sophia has also developed a relationship with her blankey, she gets very excited when I give it to her at bed time. She loves to rub it between her fingers and on her nose just before she goes to sleep, very cute.

Joey and I have changed as well. We have learned to survive on 2 to 3 hour stretches of sleep at night (still haven't figured out the whole sleeping through the night thing). Joey has gotten over his fear of poop and changes quite a few stinky ones. Motherhood has given me an amount patience that still blows my mind (this really comes in handy on those sleepless nights let me tell you). Don't get me wrong we have our moments, as all parents do, but I think we are doing a pretty darn good job, if I do say so myself.

I have realized that I love being a mom more than I ever thought possible. Sophia amazes me on a daily basis and I love it!! I love the way she pats me on the shoulder when I pick her up. I love the way she lights up when she sees me coming down the stairs. I love the way she laughs at Joey when he pretends to bite her little fingers.

I love our little family!!
