BOO BOO!

Sophia got her first big boo boo tonight. She was walking across the living room and hit her face right on the edge of the coffee table. I watched the whole thing happen in slow motion, it was horrible! I swooped her up in my arms and held her tight, not really wanting to look at her face because I was afraid of what I might see. In less than 30 seconds the side of her nose started to bleed and a shiner appeared.

I think this may be the part of motherhood that I am going to have a hard time with. It killed me to see my baby hurt and for a minute I almost started to panic but Joey pulled me back into being calm and we were able to tend to the would with some ice and a ton of hugs and kisses.
